I have been actively employed in the Engineering environment since 1987. For the greater part of 30 years I have been involved as a professional Draughtsman across predominantly Mechanical, Plate/Sheet metal and Structural disciplines. Since 2002 my roles have been at a management and senior level. In 2018 I was the Drawing Office Manager at Roytec and Chief Drawing Reviewer up to the end of December 2019. My drawing skill sets have been forged across a broad field covering Technical and Mechanical drawings and plant layout. I have extensive experience of using drawing drafting software including SOLIDWORKS, INVENTOR and AutoCAD. Furthermore I also am experienced in using Project Planning software and document control software such as LIQUID PLANNER and DrPro. Being especially skilled in checking drawings against client specifications and applicable standards I am able to succinctly parametrize drawings into an automated system. This allows for the creation of variations of each design, quickly and when needed. As a creative Draughtsman I pay close attention to detail thereby ensuring the necessary degree of accuracy for the end user. Being a technical professional I am able to discuss the scope of the project with the appropriate Engineers and thereby ensure that the correct specifications for the designs are implemented and referred to across all the technical and drawing literature. I also have the ability to explain how to interpret the detail specific to the design correctly so that they can be implemented during the manufacturing stage thereby ensuring clarity of designs to the relevant stakeholders. Through my proactive activities I have cultivated the reputation as a key contributor; exercising a high level of professionalism, communication and teamwork development. I have provided leadership to the Draughting personnel under my auspices as a Chief Drawing Reviewer and Drawing Office Manager. My consistent goal is to be a team member proactively seeking opportunities to impart value at all times. To this end I have successfully been able to facilitate positive change with relevant and value-added outcomes.
