I am a hardworking and dedicated employee who has vast experience in petrochemical operational and research and development field. I have more than ten years of operation and production management experience in a research Pilot Plant environment. I have also spend many years as a research technician/technologist at R&T. My career started at Sasol in 1992 where I worked in a production environment for four years before leaving to further my studies full time. I have worked as a process technician in support of operation, been involved in optimization of process operation, doing root case analysis and trouble shooting on operational issues. I have been an Area Manager Production from 2008 till present. My roles as Area Manger were as follows: Manage and lead operation and technical teams, Legal appointments (OH Act 8.2, GMR 2.1, committee chair), experimental designs and setups, ensure quality data generation, manage safety systems, manage daily piloting and laboratory activities, performance management for the teams, talent management and development for the teams, asset management and maintenance, resources planning and scheduling (personnel and equipments), managing and maintaining budgets for the site and ensuring budgeting cycles deadlines are met, discipline and motivation of the teams, liaise with both internal and external stakeholders, liaise with OMEs and other internal partners. I believe that with my level of experience and knowledge I can add a lot of value in any department or company that has a position for me. I have a B-tech in Chemical Engineering and have attended many short courses on management, safety, commissioning and safety audits.
