I am a member of the Order of Engineers and Architects and I am confident that my experience and skill set would be a great match for this position. I am currently working as a Mapping Supervisor with Solidarites where I am responsible in mapping points and field data collection and management. I have also been working with SI as a Construction Officer at Beirut office, where we are working to conduct BOQs and follow up with contractors work and submitting daily reports to contribute in repairing the damaged areas in Beirut, and to make sure our capital recover from Beirut Blast. Having strong knowledge of engineering principles backed by experience I have gained in the last 6 years working with the municipality of Barr Elias in identifying infrastructural services gaps and providing detailed solutions starting from the technical study all the way to supervising work implementation followed by operation and maintenance activities. Being the municipality engineer enabled me to work in various infrastructure projects form drainage and irrigation canals, to landfills and roadways. This not only enriched my technical knowledge but allowed me to establish a good network with various governmental and non-governmental bodies. Beside my work with municipality, I was working with the Danish Refugee Council as a Senior Livelihood Officer where my job is also based on making BoQs, and implement a 1000Lm canal, masonry retention wall, and rehabilitation of an existing 750Lm canal funded by Mercy corps organization. It was a bit of a challenge to start with DRC and finish the project in 3 months knowing that the project was handled by two other engineer and was on the edge of failure before I came and set things on the right track and bring the project to success. It’s a cash for work project where I am responsible for the selection of the participants and training them in various methods to implement the project.
