Having worked in the media and publishing industry since 2007, my experience in digital marketing, brand building, events and, most importantly, content – across all platforms – has resulted in me officially launching my freelance business, Amy Hopkins Media. What I offer: Brand-building and digital marketing consultations and assistance; Social-media management; Writing (from copywriting to native content and features), editing, sub-editing; Production and project management; Public relations and events; Public speaking, hosting, emceeing and presenting; Recipe development, food consultation, food styling, photography, live cooking demonstrations and performances; Video directing, prep, production and editing. My previous job was Managing Editor at Women's Health, Media24 from October 2016 to September 2020. In addition to that, I was also the Food Editor. I was responsible for overseeing the Women's Health magazine and online food content, creating and commissioning stories, hosting food-related events and representing the brand. I've appeared on and hosted panel discussions, been interviewed on local radio stations and featured on over a hundred live TV segments. Having a very strong editorial background, I understand how to speak to an audience, how to bring content to life and how to bridge the gap between editorial and commercial for all content platforms, from video and social media to print and events. I love public speaking, am very comfortable on camera and enjoy networking and hosting events. I'm also very passionate about all things food and have been a published recipe developer for over five years, with a cookbook published in English and Afrikaans in December 2020. The rate stipulated is per hour, between R500 - R1000, depending on the project.
