I am an experienced strategist within the Beverage, Financial Services and Loyalty industries and across Finance, Marketing, Supply Chain, Planning, and Human Resources functions. I have extensive exposure across finance, supply chain, and consumer strategy. In addition to working extensively at all levels of major international corporations,. I am most comfortable working at a strategic level but have worked extensively in detailed financials services and supply chain structures and processes. As an independent consultant I have extensive experience in developing strategy for companies within the beverage and financial services sectors, as well as niche consulting within the loyalty sector. This experience has extended to operational execution of strategy and people management. Specifically I have consulted on the development of strategic plans, capital injection proposals, product pricing and profitability assessment, development of human capital performance management systems, marketing and channel strategy development,supply chain costing models, and commercial negotiations on product and service supply. Some of projects / responsibilities included in my work experience include, development of new market entry strategies (and financial modelling), creation of financial services capability within retail, management of a full warehousing and secondary distribution supply chain, head of credit for both SAB and Massbuild, Sub-saharan Africa strategy development and pricing modelling, and project management across the above industries. I have a unique ability to understand the strategic requirements and objectives of businesses within the context of their market position and stage of business development. This, along with the ability to create a link to operational requirements and financial drivers, allows me to add value to businesses across multiple functional areas and industries. I am comfortable with engaging at all levels of the organisation and operate at a very professional level in terms of stakeholder engagement. My industry experience has primarily been focussed on FMCG (South African Breweries), Retail (Massmart), Loyalty (Avios) and Financial Services (SAB, Massbuild, and independent consulting). In addition, I have created businesses from the ground up in both South Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa environments. My educational qualifications include a MBA from Wits Business School (with international elective to Eastern Europe) and a BComm in Industrial Psychology and Business Economics (NMMU, formerly UPE).
