I qualified as a master electrician in 1984 with the firm J Van Den Dool & Sons of Pinetown - electrical & plumbing. I purchased the company in 1989 and ran it until 2002 when I moved to the United Kingdom. During my time in the UK I have managed several very high profile maintenance contracts in and around London. the contracts included, domestic, commercial, schools and hospital buildings many of which were grade 2 listed properties. From 2011 I have worked for the company of Mecserve Ltd and mechanical & design house where I headed up their facilities management department and acted as a consultant FM for many property landlords and management companies. I have competed in all forms of running from track, road running, x-country, tri-athlons, duathlons and ironman events since 1969 and have represented both province and country as recently as 2018 competing at the world duathlon championships in Vigo Spain. I am present still employed by Mecserve Ltd but will be returning to South Africa at the beginning of September 2020.
