I was recently in the employ of Aspen Pharmacare and I am currently in the employment market. I am a dedicated, motivated, South African male that had been actively involved in the health sector, both at National Health Government level as well as the private sector. Leadership, integrity, morals and ethics are values that are paramount to me being involved in the pharmaceutical health sector. I have the requisite experience and strong credentials in various areas of the standard operating procedures of the Medicines Control Council (MCC) as well as the newly formed South African Health Products Regulatory Authority (SAHPRA). During my tenure at both these administrations I was charged with various aspects including active participation with several other directorates as it is evident in my curriculum vitae. To this end I have served on the Medicines Control Council meetings as well as being involved in formulating new guidelines and operational procedures for the South African Health Products Regulatory Authority. I have the ability to think strategically and technically whilst providing operational value. Having the ability to offer skills, technical know-how and academic qualifications, I have managed complex situations. I strive to unlock values; ensure professional excellence; good health standard principles in accordance with Good Clinical Trial Principals as well as Good Manufacturing Principles amongst others. I am receptive to challenges, understand the demanding nature of businesses whilst ensuring I meet all allocated tasks timeously. I am susceptible to learning and change as is evident from my transformation to the public/private/pharmaceutical sector. I enjoy in that in a noble and honourable yet humble fashion I have made many a positive change and difference in the health sector. I am an extremely strong believer in skills transfer and development, because a happy, productive work force speaks for a strong, accountable team. A transition from the National Department of Health has been a very interesting and fruitful part of my life. At the two pharmaceutical industries that I did work at, I have learnt both intentions with regards to what government perceives and wants and vice versa with the industries. I have garnered a lot of experience at both levels and am familiar with the daily operations of both. I am in a position to offer my skills and expertise to the ultimate benefit of the people of South Africa. In so doing I would like to add value in an organisation by enhancing oversight functions and ensuring sustainable solutions for all concerned.
