Wilderness and wildlife conservation enthusiast. Hard-working, open-minded people’s person. Critical thinker and engager. Attentive to detail. Positive vibes. Innovative. Most NB lesson I have learned: I have studied at the University of Stellenbosch for four years (2016 – 2019) and I am planning on finishing my Bachelor’s Degree in Science (Human Life Sciences with Psychology) through UNISA. During my four years at Stellenbosch, I had the privilege to serve as an Academic and a General Mentor, as well as a House Committee (HK) member for Serruria Ladies’ Residence (2017 – 2018). In my final year at Stellenbosch I served as a HK member for Capri PSO, a mixed-gender PSO which we started at the end of 2018. These leadership roles taught me that with enough determination, commitment, hard-work, innovation and faith in oneself and most importantly faith in your team, one can overcome any obstacle. When leading a group of people, you carry a tremendous responsibility, and the pressure might become overwhelming, especially if you bite off more than you can chew. Conclusion, the hardest lesson I’ve learned is that it is okay to be vulnerable sometimes and to show your vulnerability to your team. That trust you put into them will be reciprocated, and when you realize that certain personal barriers can be overcome together, you’ll be able to overcome anything.
