My name is Aruna Singh, and I would like to express my interest in applying for the post of an educational psychologist. . I have always had a passion for helping children at school who need learning support and have emotional issues. Therefore, my background in my master’s degree in Educational Psychology and Phono-Graphix reading method would give me the advantage of providing my services. I have the following skills: Provide therapeutic intervention including play therapy and trauma support to primary school students from Grade 00/000 to Grade 7. Provide Learning support and remedial interventions to students in primary school. Conduct psychoeducational assessment of students. Conduct school readiness assessments of students in Grade R. Write psychometrically sound assessment reports. Provide group interventions and facilitate social and emotional learning experiences with an emphasis on prevention. Attend student support team meetings and work as part of a collaborative student support team. Maintain accurate clinical records. Maintain the highest level of professional and ethical conduct, upholding the Professional Rules of Conduct pertaining to the profession of psychology as laid down by the HPCSA. I also did career assessments at UJ metropolitan during my master's studies and designed careers for career clients.
