Benita's photography journey began when she was just 16 years old, starting out in film photography before transitioning to digital. After working at various studios, she launched her own photography studio in 2008/9, which she manages full-time Throughout her career, Benita has been involved in numerous high-profile projects, including photographing store openings for Massmart and corporate portraits for Graan SA and SENWES. Her work has been featured on the front page of Landbou Weekblad and in Destiny magazine. Notably, she contributed to the Red Cross Calendar in 2003 and captured portraits for the Cancer Project in 2014. Her portfolio also includes work for Ernie Els Wines, showcasing her versatility in both commercial and creative photography. Benita has also photographed the E-Prix held in Cape Town and SA Women Boks vs Spain’s Las Leonas Rugby fixture at the DHL stadium in Cape Town.
