I am a French attorney specialized in IP with more than 5 years of experience in this specific field. As my spouse left 2 months ago for Johannesburg (intra corporate transfer), I am currently looking for job opportunities in South Africa and more precisely in Johannesburg. My expertise currently consists in consultancy and litigation in the field of trademarks law, design law, copyright law, domain names and litigation relating to social networks. I mainly deal with strategies of filing and registering trademarks in France, within the EU and abroad, managing IP rights portfolios, running trademark searches, negotiating and drafting all types of agreements concerning intellectual property rights (coexistence agreements, licenses, assignments, contracts dealing with copyright…). My day-to-day work tasks also enabled me to assist clients in disputes and negotiations. Last but not least, I would describe myself as someone very curious and a very outgoing person due to my mixed origins (my Mom is from Colombia and my father is French) and I speak fluently several languages : French, English and Spanish. Moreover, I am always eager to learn about various new topics (IP and marketing / communication issues do fascinate me). My experience may be different to the profile you might be looking for but I am a quick learner and hardworker.
