Bernice, General Manager of Brokerage in Morningside, is a blue sky thinker passionate about innovation and digital transformation in the Financial Services Sector in South Africa. She is passionate about data literacy within organisations to improve efficiencies and enable enhanced and informed data driven decision making and has presented at numerous data literacy and data analytics forums. Her qualifications include a Bachelors of Commerce in Business Management as well as a National Diploma: Financial Accounting. She has worked in the mining, technology, transport and financial sectors with 9 years’ experience in short term insurance. Previously a Board Member for SAUMA (South African Underwriting Managers Association) and an actively involved member of the Insurance Institute of Gauteng (2 time mentor for the IIG Roots & Wings Mentorship Programme) she believes in investing in the industry and in upskilling and empowering younger generations to become part of a sustainable work force for the future.
