My key areas of expertise include: * Wetland related assessments and research: Assessing wetland ecosystem services (functioning) and ecological integrity, deriving information relating to impacts within current and proposed landscape settings, offsets and rehabilitation. * Freshwater ecosystems delineation: Desktop mapping and infield delineation of wetland and riparian habitat for inventory and management purposes. * Project management: On various projects managed, the number of professional associates on various teams varied from 1 to 15 people. The qualifications of the personnel involved ranged from project implementers, university undergraduate students, to professionals and government officials. * Environmental planning: Experienced in the development of spatial conservation plans, including biodiversity sector plans and environmental management frameworks (EMFs). * Geographic Information Systems and database management: Capturing of complex datasets into a database designed to output specific desired outcomes, and the use of spatial database modelling tools such as the SCSSA hydrologic modelling tool. * Environmental impact assessment process: Specialist input into various EIA processes. * Water Use Licensing process: Processing of the Integrated Water Use Licence Applications for numerous clients on all water use types, as defined by the National Water Act.
