A hydrogeologist with 12 years’ experience, currently working the Southern African Development Community-Groundwater Management Institute, a subsidiary of the SADC Secretariat, as the Senior Groundwater Specialist, tasked with providing technical advice to the Executive Director on projects whose objective is to enhance sustainable groundwater management in SADC Member States. My current role involves programme/project formulation and implementation with special focus on transboundary aquifer management in the region. I possess a solid technical experience spanning; mine hydrogeology, mine dewatering selection, user of Processing MODFLOW (PMWIN), working knowledge of Datamine, Deswick and Surpac softwares, identification of groundwater development target areas, design and supervision of groundwater geophysical exploration programmes, water use licensing, groundwater sampling programme design and implementation, design and supervision of borehole construction for a variety of geologic environments, design and supervision of test pumping, test pumping data analysis, contractor management, development of conceptual groundwater models, client liaison, consultant management, and project management. I have worked in a variety of hydrogeological settings in Southern Africa and West Africa and I am also trained in Environmental Management and ISO 14001 EMS systems and Environmental law of South Africa. I am capable of working in multicultural and multi-discipline teams and willing to travel.
