Good morning, My name is Bruce Gardiner, I am an Australian Geologist, I have been working and living with my wife and two children, (aged 11 and 15), in Ghana for 3 years, and then FIFO and working remotely for the past year during the COVID-19 pandemic, as the geology superintendent on a high-grade narrow vein underground gold mine. My contract came to an end in January, and I have begun looking for future opportunities. I have been in the mining industry for over 15 years in various roles in mine geology, resource estimation, brownfields exploration, project development and evaluation and supervision and management, across projects and operations of various sizes, commodities, mineralization styles and mining methods and with people from various different cultural and educational backgrounds. I have worked extensively on all aspects of resource estimation and modeling, and resource development, working closely with many international consultants. I have also had the opportunity to work alongside and to manage work programs with both the exploration and mine geology teams and to work closely with corporate teams and enjoy a mix of both working environments. I have also had some opportunities to consult with and assist the geology teams on the various operating open pit and underground mines with regards to their resources, reconciliation on mine/extensional exploration, and grade control processes. I have found it very interesting working with professionals with such varied experiences backgrounds and skill sets. I have had significant experience in managing geological information, resource modeling and reporting, reconciliations and extensional and near mine exploration. I am very familiar with reporting codes requirements and best practices for the Australian JORC code, Canadian NI 43-101, PERC, KCMI and SME. I have also managed and mentored teams of varying sizes, with varying cultures, backgrounds and experience levels, and have often been involved in introducing, implementing and training in new processes and procedures to ensure that geological best practices are being upheld. I believe that my broad experience, my analytical and management skills and ability to work well in varied business environments within multidisciplinary teams and across business functions would prove me to be an asset in this role.
