My specialisation is in the field of Synthesis of organic and organometallic compounds coupled with analysis on IR, GC-MS, HPLC, UV-Vis and NMR Spectrophotometer which I gained at North-West University in Potchefstroom. I have been an instructor at NWU for first-year BSc students for the past two years where I instructed them on good laboratory practices and the use of new techniques and laboratory equipment. In the course of 2019, I have received training on a Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Spectrophotometer (NMR) to investigate the behaviour of surfactant molecules and micelles in solution with the influences of temperature as well as concentration variations. During 2019 I have also aided MSc students, specifically in Coal Chemistry, with sample preparations of coal pellets from coal fines to be studied and to investigate the energy output and validity of these samples through compression strength tests as well as Thermogravimetric (TGA) and Differential Scanning Calorimeter (DSC) analysis. I have four years’ experience in a laboratory with the application of various synthesis methods and analytical techniques that are applicable in my field of expertise. My experience serving as a House Committee member of Thaba-Jäh Men’s Hostel as well as my employment at Albuquerque Spur Steak Ranches and also Music Café have enhanced my interpersonal skills and financial know-how. I boast excellent communication and interpersonal skills. I am computer literate and am proficient in MS Office. Above all, I am a highly motivated, disciplined and enthusiastic individual that always strives for excellence.
