My name is Charné Wilhelmi, I am 29 years of age, South African single female. I am writing this letter as an aid to motivate your consideration of myself as a possible candidate for the advertised position. I consider myself to be a highly self-driven individual, who always strives to go the extra mile, and always ensure that any and all tasks expected of me, are executed in a timeous and professional manner. I also work very well with other individuals, and I am able to adapt to various situations as and when required to do so, whether it be in either a personal or professional capacity. I have always excelled with all tasks entrusted to me, this includes graduating in both my Diploma and Bacaleurs Degree in Nature Conservation cum laude, I strive to ensure that I implement this same level of commitment and dedication in any work environment. I have been extremely privileged to be exposed to a multitude of experiences throughout my 10 years of working and studying within the field of conservation. Some of the many aspects I have been involved in to date include (i) wildlife rescue and rehabilitation in Botswana, (ii) field guiding in dangerous game areas, (iii) all aspects of game farm management such as fencing, development and implementation of management plans, fire breaks, water provision, erosion control, reclamation, game counts, guest liaisons, financials, hunting, lodge management, management of staff on a 10 000 ha game farm, (iv) anti-poaching aspects, (v) all aspects of centre management of a wildlife rehabilitation centre both in-situ, and ex-situ including legislation, fundraising, generating reports, marketing, sponsor liaisons, field work all across southern Africa, and all other duties required to insure efficient day to day running of the centre. Additionally, I am very well versed in composing of reports and proposals, and I am fully literate in all Microsoft office packages and programmes. I am able to communicate in both English and Afrikaans, written and spoken. I have absolutely no problem with relocating, and have lived in very remote areas with previous employment positions, so I am flexible and able to easily adapt when the need arises I believe that I bring a positive and hardworking attitude to any work place, and I am able to manage and motivate those around me. Additionally, I consider myself to be a very dedicated person, and always willing to take on any new challenges with confidence and a willingness to learn. I feel I could be a positive addition to your team, considering my broad background and wealth of experience and my absolute passion towards conservation and management of land in a sustainable manner.
