Having been a financial executive for most of my career, I have broad experience in strategic initiative conceptualization, management and evaluation; managing and collaborating within project teams and managing cross functional operations and processes. I have an entrepreneurial attitude while maintaining a prudent approach. I have the ability to take a "helicopter view" of a situation to identify opportunities, risks and consequences and apply abstract thinking to find solutions to problems. I do not have a typical "Accountant personality" and am a people's person, comfortable with interaction with colleagues, business partners and clients of all levels. I maintain a level-headed approach to business based on logic and common sense. I have been involved in various turn-around strategies, with a proven successful track record. As financial steward of the company I implement and maintain a rigorous internal control system, ensuring the integrity and safety of the company's assets. I am meticulous and detail orientated in delivering financial reports that are accurate and on-time. I do not just deliver numbers, but take responsibility for achieving forecasts and budgets as much as possible. I ensure that I translate the numbers in an understandable manner to convey "the story" they tell, suggesting solutions for problem areas, establishing a foundation from where good business decisions can be made.
