I am a healthy individual who is passionate about the civil engineering industry and has been actively involved in most aspects of structural engineering. My skill set is within the consultancy practice in reinforced concrete, structural steel, timber and masonry design, the preparation of all documentation including doing all the design and drawing of all elements. Although the workplace does not acknowledge individuals over the 'retirement age' as being a useful contributor to the industry I strongly disagree, having many years of operating my own consultancy and understanding the demands of such as well as my twenty three years of experience in academia gives me vast experience which must be beneficial to any consultancy practice.
