EXPERIENCE, ENTREPRENEURIAL ACTIVITIES & PERSONAL STATEMENT Sales and Marketing appeal to me, as both are arguably the most important departments of any business. I understand the importance of marketing for all companies, whether it be small, medium or a blue chip company. Sales and marketing professionals require technical product knowledge as well as the ability to communicate this to clients. They must keep their knowledge up-to date and maintain strong relationships with clients and customers throughout the sales process, from initial contact through to post-delivery. High-level negotiation and problem solving skills are required, along with organizational and self-management expertise. I appreciate that the impact of technology and social interactions are necessary prerequisites to succeed in business and project work. Thus I believe that my academic knowledge, practical experience and both personal and professional skills equip me to successfully pursue a successful career within any organization. 2018 – Current: I am currently consulting as a business analyst for a black-owned company based in Pretoria. Projects include a commercial laundry business; airports operations consultancy as well as an online global hotels booking business. I am also currently studying for my online Business Administration Degree through an American, fully-accredited University. The student accommodation project is ongoing. 2016 – 2018: I was a researcher, content producer as well as a presenter of a radio show for an online radio station called 1873 FM. I was also approached by some artists to manage their brands/career and public relations; this is still ongoing. 2014 – 2016: I owned and operated a liquor retailer and small café in Pimville Square, Soweto 2010 – 2013: I owned and operated a coffee shop in Marshalltown, JHB, for 3 years from 2010 while I was running Accommodation and Catering services in collaboration with University of Johannesburg’s Off-Campus Accommodation services through my company, Retro Asylum Trading CC.
