Since earning a law degree from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, I have been working at a medium sized law firm; passed the Practical Examination for Attorneys; attended Compulsory Course for Candidate Attorneys and anticipate admission in late February 2020. Over the last 18 months of my articles, I have increasingly focused on commercial and corporate matters. These matters include, inter alia, preparation and reviewing of corporate documents (inclusive of due diligence exercises); re-structuring; advising on statutory compliance; tax advice; CIPC transactions etc. I have further worked with a subsidiary of the firm - an industry-leading concept which utilises digital solutions to conveniently and effectively access and manage Corporate and Trust information. The corporate division focuses on a full range of Company Secretarial and Corporate Governance online services; utilising applications such as ActivStructure, DocuSign and ActivVault. In addition to my commercial and corporate experience, I have a solid educational foundation; graduating cum laude from the University of KwaZulu-Natal and obtaining various awards including: Phatshoane Henney Medal Group for Exceptional Performance by a Law Graduate; the Baker and McKenzie Award for Best Foundations of SA Law Student and numerous Deans Commendations and Merit Certificates.
