I negotiate realistic settlement discounts and rebates with suppliers where applicable with the decision-makers of the respectable companies, I maintain good relations with suppliers thus I gain the best possible service and pricing. I ascertain the value of all new products through quality testing and field trials, thus my experience as a chef in the catering field for the past 15 years is invaluable. I have to look at both sides of the spectrum impartially and make fair judgments toward the supply chain and the company's interest, investigating supplier/unit problems and taking corrective action to prevent them from happening in the future. I investigate and action queries promptly that mc::y result from an account or price-related inquiry. I arrange specials from various suppliers for monthly promotions in conjunction with our marketing team. I oversee purchasing and distribution of all stationary to head office and units. I open, manage and maintain all accounts on our system for all inter companies. I aid units with menu and function planning when needed for our bigger events. I travel to all our units when needed to advise on all food or supplier-related issues, I believe we are ahead of our competitors when it comes to prices and product delivery as deal-making is my strong suit.
