I have 10 years experience working for an NGO and have fulfilled several different roles. I have a particular interest in project management and enjoy it from start to finish – concept development, log frame, drafting the budget, proposal, managing the budget and deliverables once implementation starts, monitoring and evaluation and reporting to funders. I have managed to initiate and maintain relationships with funding partners and other stakeholders (including government, NGO, coorporates, schools and communities) representing my organization professionally. I’ve organized and facilitated several workshops and conferences. My experience is mainly in the environmental education and conservation sector and I have implemented CSI projects for several companies. I am excellent at taking an instruction, interpret it and deliver the appropriate result timeously and can also take initiative. Due to the funder environment I worked in I often had to provide information required on immediate request and when an issue arises I focus on creative problem solving to rectify the situation as soon as possible. My communication skills are excellent even when the team might be spread between different locations, as I can clearly communicate telephonically or electronically where needed. I am fluent in both Afrikaans and English on a business level of communication. I have excellent computer skills and am able to learn new systems and programmes very quickly. I am a highly motivated person and can take lead when required and work independently and as part of a team.
