I am a qualified Electrician, having achieved an N4 level of education, as well as Trade Certified having successfully passed my Electrical Trade Test (under the auspices of the Dept. of Higher Education and Training). I have also completed a PLC course (Programmable Logic Controller), as I have a strong interest in automation and logical circuits, with modules in PLC’s, Mechatronics, and Pneumatics, AC Drives, and Automation design. Prior to my current role as electrician, I spent four years as a trainee electrician while furthering my qualifications. The training and experience I have gained includes the laying of cables, conduit installation, trunking and wiring for domestic and light industrial applications as well as some marine work. I have done extensive panel wiring, metering, and current balancing, along with fault finding (both single and three phase) as well as motor testing and starting. I worked in the construction industry while furthering my technical qualifications. The training and experience I gained includes domestic and industrial applications, as well as some marine work. With my Trade Test completed, I now undertaking Installation Rules and apply for my Wireman’s. My experience in the electrical profession can be summarised as follows: • Construction: o I have supervised multiple electrical staff on a site construction of 90 flats, condo's and villas. o Running wire ways in the concrete for power transferred to all the points need according to schematics on multiple level structures with elevators. o Great schematic and manual interpretation. o Running reticulation of larger cables and connection to kiosks, breakers and meterage. o Single or three phase Distribution board construction. o Installation of distribution boards. o I have a fine eye for detail making sure everything is at the same hight and level and at the correct measurements according to schematics. o Phase rotation. o Mega testing. o Earthing. o Fault finding. o Multimeter testing. • Machine Maintenance: o Great manual interpretation o Testing and installation interface boards and soldering and changing relays on interface boards to fix them. o Testing and installation of relays, limit switches, kill switches, sensors, control boards, motherboards, actuators, probes, elements, capacitors, chain or belt drives or motors, Teflon sheeting o Change over switch UPS or Generator connection to section of the Distribution board o Extraction rotation and aircon isolator supply o Machine calibration o Machine certification Apart from my technical skills, I am reliable, trustworthy and punctual. Much of my prior contract work done has been through referrals and recognition of achievement, with clients always expressing satisfaction with my work and work ethic.
