Dear Hiring Manager, I am an individual with five years in the consulting industry; I have obtained a BTech majoring in Structural Engineering from the University of Johannesburg. I began my career by doing In-service training at Fluor South Africa as a Junior Engineer, my responsibilities were to assist the lead engineer in drafting design reports, overseeing project progress, design using computer aided software’s, and to liaise with other disciplines. I then continued my career development as a Junior Draughtsman and moved on to being a Junior Associate within the same company. My responsibilities expanded by being assigned to more projects, and the assigned responsibilities the same as when I was a Junior Engineer. My current role as a Civil/Structural Engineer at Mamadi & Company, involves me liaising more with the client and other disciplines, I also assist the project manager by overseeing the progress of the project, and report compilation. I am driven and creative in my application of engineering principles whilst being opened minded in my learning of management competencies necessary to promote continuation of the work. I am proactive and solution based and able to successfully identify situations where assertiveness is required. I am flexible enough to work long hours on end to ensure that project deadlines are met and submitted on time.
