I am writing to enquire as to whether there are any vacancies for an artisan or junior technician, as I am doing my Millwright trade test in September then i will be available in 1 October 2021. I am currently working as a millwright apprentice at Volkswagen South Africa, where I am responsible for assisting and shadowing artisans/technicians on how to run the production line. When we are not doing in service training, we learn all the modules at the Training Learning Academy to gain credits for the trade test. I studied at Pe College before the apprenticeship, and I acquired N3 Electrical Engineering and N6 Mechanical Engineering. The nature of my studies prepared me for a position as an artisan or junior technician. My time at Volkswagen also allowed me to gain experience in the field of work and has prepared me well for any vacancy related. I consider myself to be friendly, efficient, a quick learner and an enthusiastic worker. I believe that I will be an ideal candidate for the job as I have learned from the in-service training about the processes of manufacturing and the responsibilities of an artisan/technician. I do not shine where experience is concerned but I am a hard worker, especially when learning something new. Being a millwright is an advantage working in the field as it opens one’s mind when approaching a problem at work or at home. I am very keen to work for an ambitious company such as yours. Thank you for taking time to consider my application. I am available for contact or interview at any time. Please find CV attached. I look forward to hear back from you. Yours faithfully
