To whom it may concern I graduated from the University of the Western Cape, with a degree in Sport Recreation and Exercise Science. It was a holistic approach to sport, beginning at the body, connecting the body to the mind and spirit, and connecting sport to an organisation. From the business model to the recreational model, every aspect was dissected and tabled for discussion. Sport went from being a game that was played for competitions to a living-breathing organ of society. Here it was taught that sport could unite a nation and separate a city. Sport taught me about unity. Nelson Mandela taught me about myself. My community outreach works spans from Student Helping Out (SHOUT), where I was secretary for 2 years; to Enactus, University of the Western Cape chapter, where I was the chief operations officer for 1 year. My duties ranged from creating databases to taking notes and setting the agenda for meetings. I was responsible for the day-to-day functions of the organization. As the director and co-founder of Open 5pace, I was responsible for the structure of the organization, and creation of various advertising and marketing campaigns. I procured assets and talent The management experience has provided me with invaluable experiences that have boosted my critical and conceptual thinking when finding solutions to problems. It is my hope that I can add my experience to your department. Sport has the ability to change to the world. Let us help change the world. Sincerely Dylan Mc Cabe
