Good Day I wish to introduce myself to you, my name is Liz Jansen van Vuuren. I have broadened my Supply Chain experience, which is why I accepted the positions at both Mattel South Africa and Thermo Fisher Scientific. Over the last four years I have gained experience on the inbound side, warehousing, distribution, 3PL management and working with a global team. I believe that with my knowledge, skills and experience I can offer a great deal to your Supply Chain. I am experienced in Contact/Customer Service Centers and overall Supply Chain and enjoy leading teams of people. I am results driven and thrive on the challenge of planning and implementing procedures and structures that allow people to grow, concentrate on their work and deliver excellent results. I was a SAP R/3 Super-User in the Order to Cash Work-stream, and have an affinity for systems, which allows me to learn their features and functions very quickly. I am an excellent trainer, and have extensive experience in this area, as I firmly believe that when people are equipped with the correct knowledge, that they are then able to function at higher levels and therefore produce consistently improved results. I am approachable, caring, fair and consistent in my behaviours and attitudes to work, direct reports, superiors and peers alike. I maintain high levels of integrity at all times and can be trusted with confidential information. I can deal with conflict, and while it is not always pleasant, am skilled in the application of South Africa’s various labour laws. I am resilient, patient, persistent and a great listener. I believe that I utilise time effectively and always attempt to maintain a balanced work/life ratio. I am an excellent communicator, both orally and in writing, and am comfortable with the preparation and presentation of information etc to audiences. I have experience in setting up a new company in South Africa from scratch. This includes all aspects of the Supply Chain, from Imports, Warehousing, Distribution, Customer Service to Accounts Receivable, and all the unseen items contained in each of these dimensions. Added to which my Key Account Management training stood me in good stead to set up new customers whilst people for these roles were being hired for Mattel South Africa. I effectively set up the entire business and Supply Chain for them singly handed in 2016. I believe I have sufficient experience and hands-on experience to bring to you and believe that in time to come I can add a great deal of value to your business. I am aware of the business “bigger-picture” and am skilled in negotiating current actions to fit in with the business’ broader vision and strategies. I can set objectives and action plans to achieve them and am quite comfortable with directing others and delegating to achieve group/business aims. In short, I believe I am a multi-talented individual with a passion for working with people, to get them to succeed at their goals, thereby attaining my own.
