I grew up in a civil construction home, building, concrete work and excavations. Acquired detail knowledge of carpentry and cabinet making as my father was a skilled carpenter. Did my apprenticeship and worked at Exxaro for 19 years. Basic management, Basic Rigging, National training certificate, Hazzard identification & Risk Analysis, SAP, and conflict handling was some of the courses I did during that time. As promotion I started working as an expat in African countries for Duys Engineering Mozambique, also worked in Swaziland, Zambia, Nigeria, Botswana, and Madagascar. started as Workshop Manager fabrication, then site manager, construction manager and finally as a project manager for Rio Tinto. Came back to SA in 2012 as a Multi Discipline Artisan Coordinator UG and Surface, responsible for all UG and Surface construction activities as well as Maintenance UG and Plant, reporting directly to the Shaft Engineer. March 2020 I resigned to follow my dream as a professional outfitter and my own company, but Covid19 with all its restrictions prohibited my dream to come true. Now I am freelancing, until I can make my dream come true again. My success throughout my career, was mainly due to perseverance, honesty, humility, passion to see people perform at their peaks, and plenty experience in the construction and mining industry. This makes me stand out amongst all other competitors, with all their "so called" qualifications.
