I am a 48 years Male, currently working for Law Society of South Africa as a Finance Officer, in charge of Cash Book, Banking and Petty Cash Management. I am also currently managing assets procurement , maintenance and assets disposals. I joined the above Company on 2 January 2013, and have been privileged to work in Accounts payable department, processing and overseeing all Creditors payments for 1 year and 8 months. I then got promoted to the position of Finance Officer-Cash & banking. In this later role, I have been involved in processing all bank transactions, managing the reconciliation process and also controlling the petty cash for the company. I have also been tasked in training trainees in the Finance department including supervision. Before joining Law Society, I worked for South African Airways as a Revenue Accountant and Finance Officer since 3 September 2001 – 31 August 2012. I was involved in various roles of the Finance Department including debtors control, creditors control, staff supervision, and producing Management reports. I am a graduate of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators with an Honors Degree in Corporate Governance & Company Secretaryship. I also have a Degree in Public Administration, plus my two Diplomas in Practical Bookkeeping and Stock Control. I work during week-days and are free on week ends.
