I am a fractional marketer with a deep experience in big brand marketing and that of small businesses. Further, I have a broad geographic experience across South Africa and the Middle East, as well as of the home markets of the brands I represented, including Sub Saharan Africa, Germany, Denmark, Australia and the UK. I studied a http://www.******.***. Chemistry (Hons) at UCT but became a practicing marketer early in my working career. My training directly resulted in working with more technical products and brands, but the communications skills distinctly adds marketing value. My experience in the Paint Manufacturing industry (Plascon, Hempel, Caparol) has given a thorough exposure to the B2B industry. Though most perceive it to be retail/consumer it is small business and B2B driven by the retailers and contractors who buy and apply product. In recent years I have spent considerable time in education, lecturing university level students in Project Management, Digital Marketing and Marketing. The key learning from this phase is conducting online research in an ethical manner, that includes completing academic level referencing of sources. Another is the ability to communicate with young people in a way that makes sense to them. I am also a writer and have written a significant number of articles, primarily on marketing and more importantly about the importance of marketing to a small business. These have been published on LinkedIn and on the website http://www.******.*** The webpages for this site were all written by the writer.
