My name is Georgia Strydom and I am currently in my final year of BSc (molecular biology and biotechnology) at Stellenbosch University. My majors are microbiology and genetics. I am particularly interested in plant expression systems and the rapidly advancing field of biotechnology and its endless potential. I have gained experience using standard laboratory techniques and procedures (such as streak plating, spread plating, PCR, gel electrophoresis, DNA extractions etc.) throughout my undergraduate degree during the practical components of my modules. I am a loyal and dedicated person who enjoys gaining new knowledge and skills. I am also a meticulous person and have a keen eye for detail. My hobbies include photography, surfing, hiking, listening to music, and spending time with family and friends.
