I have aimed to use my knowledge, experience and ability to make high quality design affordable, to small and medium business. My experience of the design industry in South Africa has shown it seems to consist of two complete opposites: Firstly high-end marketing, advertising and graphic design studios who offer high quality services at very high rates, this denies a large proportion of small business access to sound design and marketing services. Secondly small print shops and studio's offering affordable printing solutions with design thrown in as an extra, due to the pricing minimal time can be spent on adequately designing the material, the result is the increase in substandard signage, logo's etc. which seem to plague malls and roadsides. Many also seek the DIY route to save costs, which generally have a similar if not worse result.
