I am an experienced brand and marketing communicator, having made the transition from journalism (predominantly beauty & health journalism) to marketing communications (with a specific focus on and expertise in digital and social media). I have an innate curiosity for digital, technological, cultural, and beauty & fashion trends that inform my work as a Senior Integrated Strategist. Over the past 9+ years, I have honed my skills as a marketing expert in some of the best advertising agencies in South Africa, working on various brands across industries including FMCG, automotive, telecommunications, banking and more. My role includes (but is not limited to) strategic client advisory, leading campaigns across multiple channels, managing multi-disciplinary teams, and guiding creative outputs. I also have a keen interest in technology which recently lead me to pursue a Master in Digital Transformation Leadership through Barcelona Technology School (accredited by the University of Barcelona), graduating in July 2022. In the workplace, I pride myself on professionalism, dedication, accountability, and attention to detail while still meeting deadlines, working collaboratively as part of a team, and bringing fresh ideas & perspectives to the table. And personally, my interests lie in travel, beauty, makeup, and fashion trends, as well as staying up to date with pop culture and global news.
