In these positions I leveraged my technical knowledge, analytical approach and interpersonal skills to monitor complex financial operations, transactions, acquisitions and green-field projects. I proved to be a trusted member of the executive leadership team, supporting the CEO to make informed financial decisions, effectively planning all budgets and milestones, as well as holding professionals to account for accurate reporting, policy compliance and best practice. During my tenure at Barclays Africa Group I also served as WIMI’s Business Transaction Leader specialising in Mergers and Acquisitions for WIMI in South Africa and the rest of Africa, including both green-fields and acquisition targets. My responsibilities included S52 applications to SARB and Competition Commission applications and interactions with these regulatory institutions. My experience at both Barclays and PSG Konsult included managing the full financial function over various teams and subsidiaries across multiple geographies with extensive exposure to wealth and investment management (eg at Barclays WIMI analysing prospective acquisition targets in the wealth and asset management sector, serving on various investment committees and through PSG Online, PSG Financial Planning and PSG Asset Management).
