I have worked in the jewellery industry since graduating from TUT in 2007, the last seven years of which have been for a retail / manufacturing jeweller in Pretoria East. My work experience is unique in the sense that I have worked in every part of the manufacturing process, from CAD design, 3D printing, casting, finishing, repairs, hand manufacture and basic gem setting. For a CAD designer, this kind of experience is invaluable. It helps to have a good understanding of all the processes involved; their possibilities but also their limitations. I have worked with both Rhino and Gemvision Matrix software. I have a legal copy of the Rhino3D 6 software.
