I have worked in the field of public health since 2007, as a laboratory scientist, and as an epidemiologist since 2015. I have experience in laboratory-based surveillance, sentinel site surveillance, and hospital-based surveillance. This has brought with it experience in data management, analytics, and interpretation, through a working knowledge of MS Access, MS Excel, STATA, Power BI, and developing knowledge of R. Resultant outputs have included publications and reports. I have practical outbreak experience being a graduate of the South African Field Epidemiology Programme (FETP) and through the day-to-day surveillance activities, which speaks to my adaptability, quick-thinking, and ability to work under pressure. In addition, I have been involved in the national COVID-19 reporting processes for the last 18-months.
