I am a native English speaker, originally from the UK, but now based in South Africa. I have spent over 40 years of my working life in IT/Business Management and Management Consultancy, which means I have spent countless hours dealing with reports, tenders, proposals, memos, and all sorts of technical and business material. I currently write regularly for several clients. I have recently retired as an ICT Director and part-time ICT lecturer in an Ethiopian University. I have been operating as a freelance IT specialist through my own company, Ealabhan IT Services since 1997 after leaving formal employment. I have travelled the world helping organisations by providing interim, contract and temporary support as a senior ICT project manager or as an ICT leader. What I do in my free time and between assignments: 1. I have been writing articles on IT technical topics to be published on various blogs for an Upwork client each month for several years, with one-off assignments as they arise. 2. Rewriting translations. This has included recasting travel guides to Addis Ababa into proper English following a translation from Amharic, by the look of it via Klingon. 3. Academic Support work. I assessed student's project submissions for an Australian University. I also reviewed Ethiopian documents for colleagues. I have reviewed and in some cases written academic submissions. 4. Other one-off work. My main activity is proof-reading and original copywriting. I am in the GMT+2 timezone. I prefer to be paid via an escrow system at a negotiable rate.
