To whom it may concern, I am Ismaa’eel Chothia. I come from an area on the Cape Flats called Retreat where I grew up very humbly. I have completed my National Diploma in Architectural Technology at Cape Peninsula University of Technology 2021. In 2013 I did a one year draughting course, where I was introduced to AutoCAD and Caddie. I also learnt to do building draughting and many more that I have listed in my CV. I attended the International Union of Architects conference in Durban in 2014, which inspired me and made me more passionate about pursuing a career as an architect and to further my studies after finishing this course. I worked at SSH Architects in 2015 for 3 months where I was trained in Revit and Codebook. I did my internship in 2017-2018 at Jonker and Barnes where I was taught how to be proficient in AutoCAD and worked in a team on multiple projects. I have worked exceptionally hard to get to where I am now and will continue to work hard. I strive for perfection in all that I do, not just to get the job done. I am willing to sacrifice time and effort to ensure that my work is of a high standard. I am passionate about what I do and I believe in unity through diversity and feel that working with a diverse group of people and in a team only strengthens a business. I still have a lot to learn but I am extremely eager to learn as much as I can to be the best that I can be. If given the opportunity I would be an asset to this firm.
