I am an Admitted Legal Practitioner of the High Court of South Africa, Western Cape Division. I completed my LLB degree at the University of South Africa in 2016 and completed my Contract of Articles of Clerkship in 2019 and is currently employed as a Legal Advisor at Scorpion Legal Protection. I am currently employed as a legal advisor in the legal insurance department of Scorpion Legal Protection. I run and manage the Cape Town Contact Centre; an Afrikaans call centre for all policy holders within the company. Furthermore, I assist the with consultations and translations within the branch. My main objective is to manage all claims instituted by the policy holders ranging from civil, criminal and labour legal issues. All claims are based and evaluated on the merits of each individual case, where after the necessary referral is drafted and sent to a panel attorney to assess the matter and represent the policy holder in the forum deemed fit. Responsibilities: Advising Policy Holders on the Following: • Labour matters (UIF, referrals to the CCMA and/or Department of Labour, employment contract disputes etc); • Civil Law; • Criminal Law; • Evictions; • Drafting Reps to various Ombudsman and the NPA; • Consumer Disputes; • Contractual Disputes; • Insurance Related Disputes; • Unopposed Divorces; • Protection Orders; • Administration of Deceased Estates; • Claims Handling; • Etc.
