As a Quality Assurance Analyst, I’ve participated in several full software development lifecycle projects, from the initiation through the implementation phases. Projects I’ve worked on have been vast and varied from University mobile applications, to custom CRM solutions and E-commerce websites, to full mission simulations for the mining industry! I’ve had the opportunity to enforce processes such as software configuration management, which entails version control and change management. So, whenever there were changes in requirements, test plans, test cases, testing scope, or code, I made sure integrity was maintained in our testing. Another was a sign off process so there’s an audit trail for changes in requirements, changes in code, or even changes in the infrastructure, which promotes accountability. I have designed and implemented templates to ensure uniformity, such as templates for QA User Stories (which also effectively act as acceptance criteria), test cases, change requests and defect management. I’ve performed many different types of testing, including exploratory, black box, front-end, manual and regression testing using tools such as Perforce, Jira, Confluence, TFS and Katalon. I have recently started my journey in automation and look forward to making use of Selenium Webdriver to make testing efforts more streamlined. As a Quality Assurance Analyst, the goal is to always ensure that the development and maintenance processes are continuously improved to produce products that meet specifications. It is important to note that the scope of Quality is not limited to just Software Testing, but rather the SDLC as a whole. I am passionate about giving the end-user the best experience possible. In addition, I take pride in the solutions I approve because I know they are a representation of myself and the company I work for. I look forward to adding value to your product(s) and working with you in future.
