I am an extremely diligent, hardworking person. I have excellent communication as well as interpersonal skills. I know how to time manage and set goals in order to get my work done on time. I know how to work on my own but also how to be part of a dynamic team. I have excellent leadership skills in order to help others who may need help in my team I always reach and exceed my targets that are set. I am eager to expand my knowledge and broaden my horizons whenever I get the opportunity to learn. I have been in the managed health care environment now for the past 16years starting from a pre-auth call centre agent but have diligently work my way through all the walks of the industry by taking every opportunity that has been presented to me. I have done case management, training, clinical coding. System testing for new implementations and take on plans from writing the test cases to reporting the issues to the BA’s and developers. I have been an assistant team leader and coach. A client relation manager in both national and international call centres setting up schedules, watching the queues and SLA’s making sure that TAT is maintained. I eventually became a clinical risk auditor and with was given the responsibilities of looking after certain inhouse schemes and the network cases, it requires knowing the ins and outs of PMB’s and it regulations meeting with our inhouse medical advisor and discussing certain high cost cases with her. I apply to certain hospital groups for negotiations on discounts on high costs and sit with the case managers to explain when we would require LOM’s for certain procedures or equipment based on the patient’s case to case surgeries. During this recent COVID19 pandemic I was on of the senior clinical auditor left in the office until they had the resources to send me home too. I stepped in to assist the claims assessors with telephonic escalations while our line manager was working remotely. I dealt with all the CEO and executive escalations that was brought from the call centre agents still left in the office. I am a very humble person but very bubbly, the ladies and one gentleman that make up my team always say that I am a true people’s person. I don’t know if that is a weakness or a strength but I know I always get called upon when there is training or assistance that is needed because I have patience and I love seeing all my projects through to a positive conclusion. I did do the nursing degree course but due to personal tragedy in my life I had to leave in third year and hence I only qualified as a staff nurse but my knowledge and experience in the field is extensive in the public as well as private sector of the hospital setting I have everything from theatre and ICU experience and my final ward that I work and specialized in before going to corporate was NICU and paeds. I know I don’t have it in black and white on my CV as managerial experience but I have sat in on so many meetings for my managers going all the way back to Discovery where I even sat in on the MANCO meetings and did so many duties of a manager and had so many added responsibilities and I am not saying this as to sound arrogant indeed the opposite if I was given half the opportunity to be some sort a brand manager for your company I would fly your colours with pride and honour because that is the person I am…I don’t know how to fail only to succeed and that I think is my weakness.
