I am an MTech art student at the University of Johannesburg. I have a passion for art, history, communication and working with people. I am a creative, curious, charismatic and goal-driven individual who is hardworking and loves to keep learning. My passion for art and history is due to my fascination with the development of human society and how it defines individuals. My life goal is to communicate human interactions in creative, interesting and thought-provoking formats. I am currently producing a historically accurate and socially accessible comic based on the Westbury’s anti-apartheid and community activist, Florrie Daniels. It is a multidisciplinary project which is being done in collaboration with the Center for Education through Transformation (CERT). In my Honours year, I was an assistant lecturer and privately tutored high school history. After completing my Honours I worked full time as a sculptor in the Workhorse Bronze Foundry before returning to studies. Currently, I tutor art, history, and English through TeachMe2, and previously tutored in history and English through TutCo. On the side, I manage a medieval combat, performance, and teambuilding business. My long-term ambition is to create a positive impact through socially informative art, design and communication.
