I have over 8 years’ experience working within various sectors of the civil construction, gaining extensive experience in staff, health and safety, and project management roles. My work and course work experience have led to the development of key competencies including designing, managing and implementing health and safety systems; impeccable written and verbal communication; fine attention to detail; efficient people and program management; reputable mentoring and training skills; forward thinking and risk analysis; and the ability to collaborate with diverse groups of people. Furthermore, my career has seen the successful monitoring and preventing workplace safety incidents through routine and comprehensive inspections and training programs. My role as health and safety officer for various civil construction sites saw me holding full responsibility for planning, establishing, and monitoring health and safety programs to mitigate incidents and optimize worker wellbeing. My experience also includes performing on-site hazard evaluations, building emergency response plans, conducting safety inspections and audits, and producing detailed health and safety reports.
