My professional experience is diverse and I have worked in a variety of market sectors that include mainstream FMCG, B2B, B2C, Stationery and Art, Human Resources and Recruitment, Hardware and Construction, Restaurant and Hospitality and Liquor. I have 17 years of management experience that includes Human Resources and Recruitment, General management, Operations, Finance, Procurement, Brand Management, Category Management and Sales and Marketing. I have led successful multi-store organisations operationally and have introduced new store configurations, brands and divisions, and sourced Private label products internationally as well as locally. I am an avid networker, passionate about local, fair trade and sustainable food and agriculture, and I love to embrace cultural diversity as a means of exchanging knowledge. I have in-depth Sales and Marketing, Operations Management, retail, procurement and brand management experience, from the ground, up to executive level. I have led successful teams to win many awards in both customer service, Sales and marketing; and trained many sales teams to listen and hear, source and select, and capture the market in terms of Key accounts and brand alike. My experience to date, has taught me that relationships are key to success; relationships in the larger trade, one's own supply chain, with one's customers and within one's own organization. My experience in B2C marketing, particularly product brand development, has taught me that integrity of a product or business should never be compromised to make a sale, and that taking the time to do research in the supply chain, the target market and to have clear communication will make or break the success of launching even the best product.
