I have strong technical skills and am a well experienced Mining Professional with a demonstrated history of working in the mining industry with a NHDT in Mining Eng from Technikon Witwatersrand. I have 35 years of practical mining experience and am well educated in open-pit/opencast mining operations, mine planning and mine management. I also have 6 years of Mining Consulting experience and, through this, have acquired skills in Business Development and Technical Management Assistance, the carrying out of Feasibility Studies, assistance with Independent Engineering Studies, performing Due Diligence Studies, and Performance Improvement Studies. I have excellent experience in mine design, slope-stability design (including slope stability for quarrying) and mine planning, including production and product costing, machine selection by capacity and capability, expected cycle-times and turn-around times, including the identifying of options required for the delivering of the most profitable, efficient and feasible project. I fully understand the life cycle of a developing mine as well as the various phases required to bring a mine into full fruition. Having been well exposed to Mining Right Applications and development of Mine Works Programs (MWP) I am also able to assist with mining legislation. Being well adapted to computing, I have excellent command of MS Software (Excel, Word and PowerPoint, MS Project) which I use to assist in my clear and concise report writing and presentation capabilities and skills. I have also had reasonable exposure to CAD modelling and mine design and mine planning/scheduling software. I am analytical by nature and I am able to provide quick, efficient and accurate decisions which are justified in the solution to the challenge. I am a team player and I strive for continued improvement whilst pushing the boundaries. Having worked in other African countries, I have a good understanding of African culture and I am able to adapt and work well with all. I am available for travel and/or relocation to anywhere.
