What led me to choose pharmacy as a profession was the wide array of skills that it inculcates in an individual. Whilst my achievements in the academic field – borne out of hard work and determination - bring me great joy, I have come to realize that pharmacy demands much more than being book smart. Pharmacy is an art, and I pride myself on being an artist. My passion lies in drawing and painting, as well as releasing my creative side through the medium of creative writing. In the workplace setting, I have translated these skills into innovative thinking. I find pleasure in constantly finding ways to improve workflow (both of myself and my team) through new ideas. I am a keen learner who picks up on new concepts very quickly. I am, equally, an avid teacher. I worked as a tutor throughout university and found that teaching and mentoring was something that came naturally to me. Leadership was another skill which I picked up at university, having served on the Students Council. I look forward to increasing my skills set with experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
