I have 1.5 years working experience in the automotive industry for one of the leading automation companies in South Africa. I am a part of a group of engineers who facilitate the virtual testing of PLC programs for manufacturing plants using simulation environments before the plants are built on site. On a regular basis I am required to innovate software solutions for improving the department work flow and efficiency which has the given me the opportunity to develop .net applications which are still utilized by the company employees today. Some of the projects I have worked on include an application which speeds up the process of modelling mechanical parts for simulation, a robot program uploader/downloader for Kawasaki robots, and electrical drawing tag extraction software. I am a self-taught web developer and software enthusiast, spending much of my free time honing my programming skills and learning new frameworks. During my studies I was a part of an extra-curricular program where I and a group of students developed an educational assisting tool which would allowed users to input a wide range of electrical type exercise problems and thereafter determine the solution and step through it with the user.. This is example of the many projects I have been apart.
