I am a 23 year old male with a strong passion for Operations Management across multiple industries and disciplines. Having grown up as an only child and first grandchild, duties have been plentiful, and demands of me were of a very high standard. This has always driven me to be humble; presentable at all times; efficient at everything I do; hard-working; self-motivated; adaptive and self- sufficient in many aspects of my life. I am a quiet soul although enjoy collaboration with others. I thrive on mastering any opportunity or challenge presented to me and seeing it to completion. Having held a few part time positions during my academic years has lead me to gain more experience in customer services, engaging and meeting new people of all walks of life, and most importantly - team work. I love sport, any outdoor activity, and try my best to maintain a balanced life. I have completed 6 months of in-service training as part of my studies which developed into my current role as an intern at W-Tech Manufacturing, Cape Town and Fibretek Cape Town. We manufacture polymer, composite and insulation products; as well as manufacture, mould and supply fibre-glass products while meeting all the prescribed engineering and quality standards. This experience gained has been overwhelming. I have learnt various techniques in improving layout strategies, managing and improving inventory layout strategies so as to ensure an efficient and seamless flow of products between our production lines, warehouse and our partners or customers. I have also been exposed to various health and safety procedures and standards, something which I take very seriously and hope to master as I progress in my career. I have been assigned duties under the current Health and Safety Representative within the organisation to ensure timely inspections of all equipment, managing servicing requirements, managing frequent fire drills etc and to ensure 100% SHE compliance for the organisation and its workforce. My willingness to learn, being agile and humble is what will stand me in very good stead in any organisation or industry where I advance in my career and can contribute positively.
