My work experience, range from being an educator for 15years, teaching or specializing in isiZulu, English and Life orientation at school level. During that period, I had a great opportunity of serving in the school management team, where I accumulated experience of leading teachers in isiZulu, English and Life Orientation, wherein my duties consisted mainly of ensuring that effective learning and teaching takes place in accordance to the prescripts of the Department of Education and Training. I was also afforded an opportunity of being a GPLMS coach in the foundation phase where I supported and coached teachers in the First Additional Language (English), isiZulu and Mathematics, which comprised of monitoring their daily work and ensuring that the approved methodology was used and demonstrated the correct practice at all times. I also have gained a lot of experience lecturing Qualitative research (honors students) for the distance education department at the University of Pretoria. At the University of Johannesburg I was afforded the opportunity to lead and develop the second Teaching school in the country. I developed a developmental program for in service teachers and monitored the progress of the teachers. I also developed a program for the teaching school and University collaboration. The student teachers benefitted a lot from the good practice that they have observed from the in-service teachers. I am currently employed as a Teaching school developer and Work Integrated Learning Coordinator at the University of Mpumalanga where I develop in-service teachers to be mentors to student teachers and also arrange and coordinate student teachers WIL. I also co- lecture teaching methodology to university student teachers.
